What Should You Expect?

Hey everyone,
Let’s talk about a topic that a lot of people are nervous about: sedation and anesthesia during a hair transplant.

The good news? Hair transplants are typically minimally invasive and done under local anesthesia, so you’ll be awake, but totally numb in the treated areas.

Here’s how it usually works:

. Local Anesthesia
• The most common approach.
• The doctor injects a numbing agent, into both the donor and recipient areas.
• You’ll feel pressure or mild discomfort during the injections, but after that, no pain.
• The numbness lasts several hours, enough to cover the full procedure.

. Sedation or Twilight Anesthesia
• This kind of anesthesia is used for very anxious patients.
• You’re in a deeply relaxed state, not fully asleep, but you won’t remember much.

Aftercare Note:
• You’ll be able to walk, eat, and go home the same day.

If you’ve already had a transplant, share how your experience with sedation anesthesia went, others will appreciate it!
